Quizzina Forney, LCSW-C
Quizzina is a Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical (LCSW-C) with over 12 years of experience in the mental health field. She is a compassionate and empathic clinician, deeply committed to helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and rediscover their sense of self.
A proud graduate of the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, Quizzina has spent over a decade providing therapy to adults facing issues such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, and relationship difficulties. She is especially passionate about helping clients learn to set healthy boundaries, leave toxic or difficult relationships, and build emotional resilience.
Quizzina’s therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s needs. She draws from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. Jamie Hickman, LCPC
Jamie received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Towson University and her Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Jamie is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a National Certified Counselor. She incorporates several modalities into her therapy sessions, such as Narrative, Solution-focused, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and other evidenced-based modalities. As a clinician, Jamie is passionate about helping clients foster self-awareness and gain insight into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. In her free time, Jamie enjoys spending time with her family, reading, trying new restaurants, and going to concerts.

Laurene M. Blake, LCSW-C, Ed. D is a licensed clinical social worker with decades of experience providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to adults, adolescents, and teens. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Tuskegee Institute, a Master’s degree in Social Work from Saint Louis University, and a Doctorate in Christian Education from Central Christian University
Dr. Blake has extensive clinical training and experience treating ADHD, anxiety and mood disorders, depression (including postpartum depression), grief and bereavement, trauma and abuse, domestic violence, stress, adjustment to illness, Alzheimer’s and dementia-related disorders, and schizophrenia-spectrum disorders. She also provides couples and family counseling and integrates Christian counseling when desired by the client

Carl A. Carlton, LGPC, Ed. D
Carl Carlton, LGPC, Ed. D, is a compassionate and experienced professional that possesses a wealth of knowledge to the counseling/therapy sessions. Dr. Carl is dedicated to guiding and assisting others on their journey to success and health. With over 25 years of healthcare experience, he has instructed both students and staff in a level 2 emergency department.
Dr. Carl’s advocacy and counseling skills have positively impacted thousands of patients and students under his care. Additionally, Dr. Carl has spent four years counseling clients in a therapeutic setting and is actively working towards full licensure as a clinical graduate professional counselor. Dr. Carl embraces the mission and challenges of providing exceptional client care from a variety of backgrounds. He believes that clients that engage themselves in the therapeutic process will benefit from the counseling process.
Dr Carl utilizes a variety of therapy techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, and Narrative Therapy and Mindfulness. He has training and experience in working with young adults, adults, and couples. He specializes in supporting those with grief, transitions, and specifically, men going through difficult transitions, such as divorce, separation, or death of a loved one. Professor Lester L Burney, MS, CAIMHP, LCPC
Lester L Burney, MS, CAIMHP, LCPC is a full time Associate Professor of Human Services Counseling at The Community College of Baltimore County since 2009. Prof. Burney teaches across three academic disciplines including Human Services Counseling, Psychology, and Academic Development. Prof. Burney is also a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) where he specializes in treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, anger management, mindfulness, and men’s issues. Prof. Burney works with individuals, couples, and families using various treatment modalities that promote client wellness and resiliency. Prof. Burney has been a former Clinical Director and Therapist in various Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. Prof. Burney is a Board Approved Supervisor of graduate level clinicians LGPC and LGADC and behavioral health professionals such as AD-Trainees, CAC-AD,CSC-AD.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with five years of nursing experience in the psychiatric domain, encompassing both adult inpatient care and outpatient mental health stabilization. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Crayon University and began my career as a psychiatric nurse in an inpatient facility. I earned my Graduate education at Walden University, MSN. I served as the Unit superior at a mental health hospital for three years. As a PMHNP, my primary focus is on the treatment of psychotic disorders, mood disorders, and chronic mental illnesses through psychiatric assessment, medication management, and intervention for adult clients aged 18 to 65. I am committed to developing individualized care plans that prioritize client-centered care and interprofessional collaboration.
